If you wanted to make a bullet go across a room fast enough to do damage, throwing or kicking that bullet was not a good option. You couldn't reason with it or bargain with it, and make it shoot out of your hand, either. This is a common fallacy. But a bullet does shoot through the air with high velocity if you fire it out the muzzle of a gun, using a trigger and firing pin. You do have to aim. A lot of people didn't realize this. They lost a whole lot of gunfights this way. |
